Introducing Moo Brew Blackberry Sour, your perfect escape into a world of tart, fruity flavour, crafted with care by Moo Brew right here in Tasmania. This fresh summer sour is made using "an insane amount" of blackberries, making it a seriously refreshing sip that's perfect for knocking back when the sun's out.

Key Information and Highlights:

  • Brewery: Moo Brew
  • Style: Classic Fruited Sour
  • ABV: 3.6%
  • Volume: 375ml Can
  • Awards: A standout sour from Moo Brew, celebrated for its vibrant fruit character and refreshing tartness, embodying the essence of a cracking summer brew.

Flavour Profile:

  • Appearance: Pours a cracking deep ruby colour with a lively head that hangs around nicely. Looks the goods for a summer session.
  • Aroma: Give it a sniff and you'll get a good hit of fresh blackberries – no mucking around there. It's a straightforward, inviting fruit aroma that promises a flavourful experience.
  • Taste: On the palate, it's all about that bright, zesty tartness that's perfectly balanced by the sweet and juicy blackberry flavour. It's got a light, crisp mouthfeel that's spot on for a hot day. It's a classic fruited sour, tart, crisp and fruity from top to bottom. Honestly, if you're not keen on blackberries, this one might not be your cup of tea.

Food Pairings:

Enhance your Blackberry Sour experience with dishes that are a good match for its vibrant character, such as:

  • Fresh Berry Salad with Goat Cheese: The sweetness of the berries in the salad will complement the blackberry flavour in the beer, while the tartness of the sour cuts through the richness of the goat cheese.
  • Lemon and Herb Grilled Chicken: The citrus and herbaceous notes in the chicken will pair nicely with the tartness and fruitiness of the sour, creating a refreshing combination.
  • Pavlova with Mixed Berries: For a dessert pairing, the sweetness of the pavlova and the mixed berries will be beautifully balanced by the tartness of the sour, creating a delightful contrast.

Conclusion:

Whether you’re unwinding on a warm afternoon or having a barbie with mates, Moo Brew Blackberry Sour is the perfect companion. Its tart, fruity character and refreshing nature offer a delightful escape. In Tasmania, it’s technically illegal to not punch at least one sour in the sun between the months of December and February – so grab a can and join the fun! Cheers to a ripper summer brew!
