Introducing Moo Brew Stout, a brew that's jet black, seriously intense, and deceptively smooth, crafted with care by Moo Brew right here in Tasmania. Its rich dense palate is a complex matrix of high residual sugar from specialty roasted malts, Centennial hop bitterness, and an active alcohol vector.

Key Information and Highlights:

  • Brewery: Moo Brew
  • Style: Stout
  • ABV: 8.0%
  • Volume: 375ml Can
  • Awards: A renowned Stout from Moo Brew, celebrated for its intensity, smoothness, and complex flavour profile that brings people out of the woodwork for a taste.

Flavour Profile:

  • Appearance: Pours an opaque, inky black with a thick, creamy tan head that looks seriously inviting.
  • Aroma: The aroma is rich and complex, with notes of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and a hint of dark fruit. It's a seriously enticing smell.
  • Taste: On the palate, it's full-bodied and incredibly smooth. You'll get those intense roasted malt flavours, with notes of dark chocolate and coffee. There's a firm hop bitterness (IBU: 58) that balances the sweetness from the malts, and the higher alcohol content (8%) adds a warming complexity. The finish is long, rich, and satisfying. It's a complex matrix of flavour.

Food Pairings:

Enhance your Stout experience with dishes that are a good match for its bold character, such as:

  • Oysters: A classic pairing! The briny sweetness of oysters is a cracking contrast to the roasted and bitter notes of the Stout.
  • Chocolate Desserts: Rich chocolate desserts like chocolate cake or mousse are a perfect match for the chocolate notes in the Stout, creating a decadent combination.
  • Aged Cheeses: Strong, aged cheeses like cheddar or gouda can stand up to the intensity of the Stout, with the beer's complexity complementing the cheese's flavour.

Conclusion:

If you're a fan of big, bold stouts, the Moo Brew Stout is a ripper. It's got incredible depth of flavour and a smooth, luxurious feel. It's a beer to savour, perfect for cooler nights or when you want something seriously special. People come out of the woodwork for this beer – give it a crack and see why!
