128.5 Proof / 64.25% ABV

This was the first Single Barrel pick for the West Coast at the time released back in Sept. 2023.

Age: A little over 8 years

ABV: 64.25%

Mashbill: 70% Rye / 18% Corn / 12% Malted Barley

Tasting Notes:

Aroma - BIG BIG Mint, brown sugar and dark fruit preserves over a cracker.

Palate - this one really HIDES the abv when you sip neat.  It is quite the rollercoaster of various fruits, almonds and a little bit of that xmas spice.

Specific Batch Review:

"Let me cut to the chase: this Jack Daniel’s Barrel Proof Single Barrel is one of best ryes I’ve had all year. It takes the incredibly well-balanced Jack Daniel’s Bonded Rye I reviewed earlier this month and cranks everything up to another level. And while these two bottles feel similar, taking it to barrel proof gives so much more spice, heat, complexity, and depth. It’s like the Bonded Rye went to get it’s PHD." - Chris Ellis, The Whisky Study (95 Points)
