Laphroaig 28 Year is a limited edition single malt which first matured in a host of selected casks with varying sizes from quarter casks to butts.

Aged in a variety of casks for 27 years before the vintages were blended and inserted into sherry casks for an additional 12 months.

Notes of sweet Manuka honey, dried fruit, and liquorice which are balanced out with the well-known Islay notes of leather, thyme and rosemary. Toffee, burnt wood, umami, dried spice, and cedar.

The dram is bound to be an unforgettable experience.

"I was dubious about this frightening juggle of casks, but it hasn’t interfered with the distillery character. On the contrary, this feels like a very lovely and rather luscious transitional style of Laphroaig. I’ve tried a few of these various official aged Laphroaigs they’ve put out in recent years and, I have to say, I’ve found most to be very good." - Serge, Whisky Fun

"... Long, fuzzy-warming finish will make you simply close your eyes, sit back, and enjoy." - Jake Emen, Distiller

"I was able to compare with the Laphroaig 25 Year Old and while it is lower in alcohol and less peaty this is much richer and fruitier. Creamy fruits rather than exotic fruits. Both are really good, but this feels more old-style and gets my vote." - Ruben, Whisky Notes
