Two distinct oaks create the perfect harmony within one exceptional single malt whisky. Our Double Cask whiskies are aged in two types of oak, in specially selected hand-crafted casks seasoned with dry Oloroso sherry. American oak imparts delicate flavours of vanilla, citrus and butterscotch.

European oak delivers the unmistakable subtle spice of The Macallan. Once matured after 15 years, these two exceptional whiskies unite to create a distinctive single malt with a sweeter, warmer taste and character. Enjoy it neat, over ice or in a serve.

Tasting Notes:

Colour: Golden butterscotch.

Nose: Dried fruit and butterscotch with baked apples, balanced with notes of chocolate and smooth oak.

Palate: Sweet raisin and sultana builds with cinnamon and nutmeg, alongside creamy vanilla.

Finish: Medium with lingering oak and spice.

"The iconic producer of lush sherried malts delivers again. Employing the same technique of marrying whiskies aged in sherry-seasoned casks of both American and European oak that landed the 12 year old in our 2017 Top 20 has resulted in a truly decadent dram." - Jeremy Lindenmuth, Whisky Advocate
