The theme of this particular bottle is “Kacho Fugetsu” – a design that embodies the beauty of Japanese nature. The sweet floral aroma of the hand-selected matured malts combine with a natural wood essence to create a truly distinctive whisky, with a full-bodied taste. The 24 facets of the bottle symbolize the ancient tradition of “Sekki” – the age-old Japanese lunar calendar. Kacho Fugetsu is the Japanese Kanji for Flowers, Birds, Breeze, and Lunar phases.

The Hibiki 17 Year Old Kacho Fugetsu is beautifully decorated with chrysanthemum, which is the national flower of Japan and cranes. All symbols are in the traditional Maki-e patterns - symbolising felicitations, wishing happiness and the best of fortunes. This bottle is one for the collector or for special occassions.

Hibiki 17 Year Old Whisky is produced with a combination of grain whisky and premium malts from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries, which are often aged in very rare Japanese oak.

"Whether it was the last lot or not, those recent Hibikis 17 were tremendous blends (up ten points within ten years!)" - Serge, Whisky Fun
