This elegant 12 year old Highland Single Malt is finished in three different styles of aged Oloroso Sherry casks, balancing nutty flavours with the influence of sweet Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks.
Under the watchful eye of our Master Distiller, the spirit is initially matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. This is the perfect start to our maturation journey as it develops our house style of chocolate, orange and spice.
This Dalmore is then fully finished in casks having held a very unique sherry, created especially for The Dalmore – a blend of classic & aged oloroso and rich & sweet Pedro Ximénez, formulated to provide the perfect enhancement to our house style.
The result is a stunning and elegant Dalmore single malt, bursting with sweet fruit and decadent spice.
Tasting Notes:
Aroma: Caramelised orange, ginger, and sultanas, all laced with honey.
Palate: Dark chocolate and crushed almonds. with a dusting of cinnamon.
Finish: Sweet mangoes, panna cotta, and lemon sponge cake.

"Pretty richly sherried with some clear dry oloroso notes, but also more sour, aceto balsamico notes commonly associated with Pedro Ximènez sherry. Hints of fudge and toffee accompanied by orange zest and rum raisins. We're off to a good start. The mouthfeel is a bit thin, but flavorwise we're in good territory. Think chocolate truffles and a warming spiciness with cinnamon and cloves. You'll find a bit of orange liqueur in the background as well." - Thijs Klaverstijn, Distiller (87 Points)
