The Grandfather name dates back to 1915, when an oak cask containing the finest blend of available Tawny material was set aside for the exclusive use of the Penfold family. This wine was known as The Grandfather due to the age of the oldest Tawny in the blend. With each vintage varietal batches are selected for Grandfather. These batches are individually aged in seasoned old oak casks before being blended together at 14 years of age. This blend is then introduced into the ‘Grandfather Solera’. This Solera consists of six stages that are designed to fully integrate all components offering consistency and freshness with a final minimum...

Traditional winemaking techniques and an eye to modern styles allow us to create wines that are synonymous with the regions they are from. Rich, honest wines that showcase the regions in their most natural light. Rich red in colour with purple hues, this wine displays aromas of blackberries and plums with hints of pepper and spice. The palate is rich, round and soft with concentrated berry fruits and soft velvety tannins. This wine can be enjoyed now but will also improve with careful cellaring.

Vine Hill is the culmination of when exceptional wine meets incredible music, and from a massive appreciation for VINYL, which is how it got its name. This wine follows organic and biodynamic principles (but we can’t label this one 100% certified, which is a bugger because it’s damn close). This fantastic Sauvignon Blanc has refreshing citrus characters and tastes like a delicious lemon and lime tart. Enjoy in the sunshine at the beach or with Mediterranean lemon and herb chicken… Enjoy while relaxing, listening to tunes on the turntable!
