Tasting Notes Tantalisingly fragrant black currant liqueur and blackberry conserve sing from the glass with suggestions of rum and raisin dark chocolate and the complex aromas of a fruit of the forest Danish. Red berry fruits, especially dehydrated strawberries envelop a core of Chinese 5 spice and high coca content chocolate. The flavours linger seductively. Vineyard Notes This wine is a sub-regional blend of several McLaren Vale vineyards. Production Notes It was fermented in traditional open fermenters with heading board systems and in static open fermenters using gentle cap management techniques. Oak maturation was 16 months in 25% new French and American hogsheads, the balance aged in 1 to 4 year old barrels.
