Here’s another new release for 2020, but this one come with a very sad story.
It really was a case of bottle it or loose it, as the cask was found to be leaking very badly! It just had to be bottled. Ready or not. So as you could just imagine that the out-turn was just pitiful.
As with the Aultmore Tawny, this Marsala cask is just enormous. Loads of rich malt enveloped in a layer of kitchen spicy, dried fruits Marsala oak. And those flavours just hang on for an eternity.
It’s a rare and extraordinary dram under the Firkin Rare label.
Tasting Notes:
