Alcohol Policy

Buyers must be at least 18 years old and located outside a designated dry zone to purchase alcohol.

Matured first in bourbon barrels then Oloroso casks, there's no finer example of a sherry cask finish than our 15 Year Old. It's the final three years spent in Oloroso sherry casks that gives Bowmore 15 Year Old the rich, deep colour and robust warming finish.

Tasting Notes:

On The Eye: Burnt Sienna.

Breathe In: Dark chocolate and raisin aromas compliment the classic Bowmore smokiness.

Sip: Wonderful cedar wood and rich treacle toffee flavours.

Savour: Spicy, toffee, sherry and barley.

"Formerly known as Darkest, this expression was given a secondary maturation for 3 years in oloroso sherry casks. The nose features smoky caramel, dates, citrus fruits, and quite dry sherry. Dark chocolate and cocktail cherries on the rich malty palate, with peat smoke and a hint of dry oak balancing the sweet fruitiness. Sherry, brine, soft peat, oak, and allspice in the lingering finish." - Gavin Smith, Whisky Advocate (92 Points)

"Despite the rich raisins and stewed fruits on the nose and in the mouth, there is some dryness in the middle from the tannins in the wood. Sea spray and dark chocolate come through as well as a gentle peat smoke. Although it might be a wee bit top heavy with sweetness, the finish is a pleasant one." - Stephanie Moreno, Distiller (86 Points)
