Unveil the exquisite elegance of the Clarence House Estate Pinot Noir 2023, a wine cultivated with devotion on the historic lands of a property rooted in the heritage of 1830s Hobart. Owner David Kilpatrick has tenderly nurtured vines on the northeast slopes of this majestic estate, marrying traditional viticulture with the unique terroir nestled between the vibrant heart of Hobart and the scenic beauty of the Coal Valley.
The Clarence House Estate Pinot Noir 2023 is a symphony of carefully orchestrated elements, blossoming from the richness of Jurassic dolerite and basalt soils, bathed in the delicate climate marked by low annual rainfall. A confluence of six distinct blocks and a diverse array of clones contributes to the wine’s profound complexity and charm.
Skillfully aged in a fusion of new and seasoned French oak barriques and puncheons, and enhanced by wild fermentation with a touch of whole bunches, this Pinot Noir captivates with red and dark berry abundances, woven intricately with ethereal floral and enchanting spice notes. Medium-bodied yet brimming with a generous fullness, it exudes a delightful concentration, embraced within a graceful structure adorned with ripe, finely crafted tannins.
Embark on a delightful journey of sensory discovery with the Clarence House Estate Pinot Noir 2023, where each sip resonates with the passion, history, and artisanal mastery of its Tasmanian origins.
