Batch A120
136.6 Proof / 68.3% ABV
Released for the first time in the March 2013, each batch is a an uncut, unfiltered selection of Elijah Craig 12 Year. Each batch will vary both in flavour and in proof as is the nature of such releases. The "code" for the batches is as follows: The first letter of each batch indicates the order of the release for that year beginning with the letter "A" for the first batch, "B" for the second, and so on. Next is a number which reflects the month of the release, so "1" for January for example. The third and fourth digits reflect the year of the release. This batch number is printed on the front of each bottle along with the proof.
Specific Batch Reviews:
"The Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Batch A120 is stellar. This version gives me what I seek in whiskey, and what I find lacking in a lot of bourbons. I like the cigar and ashy palate it provides, and gives me that campfire feel without the bottle price of High West." - Courtney Kristjana, Thewhiskywash.com
"A120 is going to be one of the more coveted expressions in this collection. While some of the ECBP releases can sometimes be overwhelming on the wood front, A120 finds a unique sense of balance ... All told, it’s arguably the best Barrel Proof release to date." - Christopher Null, Drinkhacker.com
" If they ever stop making this, or change anything about it, I will be extremely disappointed. This is the standard of what whiskey should be and I would highly recommend to anyone that likes high proof whiskey to try this and tell me what they think." - Jake Youst, Whiskyconsensus.com
