For someone who wants a more complex bourbon experience, Four Roses Single Barrel is a 100-proof bourbon that embodies the uniqueness of an individual barrel which was hand selected by our Master Distiller. It achieves a pronounced yet elegant flavor that is worth savoring.
Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon is aged for at least seven years and could be up to 9 years in newly charred white American Oak barrels. The whiskey is hand bottled when deemed to have reached its peak, with each barrel yielding approximately 248 bottles. No two barrels create identical tasting Bourbons, thus the single barrel concept provides the opportunity to compare whiskies from different barrels and years.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Dried spice, pear, cocoa, vanilla & maple syrup.
Palate: Hints of ripe plum & cherries.
Finish: Smooth & delicately long.
"... A very distinctive style of bourbon: crisp caramelised shell around the house light corn and vanilla" - Jim Murray, Whisky Bible 2020
"The nose is full of cherries, pear, and chocolate along with some oak and toffee. The palate finds even more oak, darker fruits, and an additional hint of chocolate. The long, easy finish comes back to the cherries, sugars, and oak." - Rob Morton, Distiller
