"When we began experimenting with a 100% malt grain bill back in 2012, we knew it would be critical to put our own stamp on timeless Single Malt traditions and craft something that was uniquely Jack Daniel’s" Chris Fletcher, Jack Daniel's Master Distiller

This Jack Daniel's American Single Malt finished in Oloroso Sherry Casks is a new take on timeless Single Malt traditions. Charcoal mellowed the Tennessee way. Aged in hand-crafted newly charred oak barrels, then finished in the finest Oloroso Sherry Casks. It is rich and complex, characterised as dark chocolate covered nuts and berries with a subtle sweet Oloroso Sherry finish.

Tasting Notes:

It is rich and complex, charasterised as a dark chocolate covered nuts and berries with a subtle sweet Olorsso finish.

"As it stands, it's hard to find any major faults with Jack Daniel’s American Single Malt. It may not be a highly unique tasting American single malt, but the flipside is it is an extremely approachable and drinkable American single malt whiskey. I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up becoming somewhat of an ambassador for this style of whiskey as more and more whiskey drinkers decide to give it a try." - Eric Hasman, Breaking Bourbon

"The aroma has a mild level of char smoke along with a mix of fruits such as plums, red berries, raisins, and orange peel. There's also a few oxidized notes from the sherry wine casks here too. Additionally, there's a malted milk balls note here which will have you thinking the whiskey is on the sweet side. However, the whiskey is only mildly sweet. The body is a medium-plus feeling in the mouth with flavors leaning towards more of towards dried fruits with a light taste of malted cookies mixed with barrel spices. It's chewy without it being dry. Further nosings brings forth some dried green herbs. Overall the finish is bittersweet with a moderate length. Flavorful and pleasant - a solid offering." - Stephanie Moreno, Distiller (90 Points)
