Balancing layers of orchard fruits from various distilleries including Strathmill and Glen Elgin of Speyside with very rare expressions from the now silent 'ghost' distillery of Port Dundas.
John Walker & Sons XR 19 is a supremely smooth addition to the XR family with the long maturation revealing notes of toffee, brown sugars and molasses amid sweet, woody flavours. With each sup, the delicate flavour flourishes on the palate to reveal layers of subtle spices and orchard fruits glistening with pepperiness before finishing with a subtle scent of smoke caught on a sea breeze.
