Manzanilla is much like Fino sherry, which is produced by the sea where the conditions are even more suitable for the growing of flor. Though the maturation is the same as for the Kavalan Fino, the texture is lighter and more delicate with a touch of saltiness together with mineral flavours, which are all the consequences of a stable and thick layer of flor, sea breezes and brine.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Swarthy aurum amber
Flavour: Chock-full of mystery aroma, the same as Solist Fino with clear and charming honeydew melon. A complex and multi-layered fruity flavour along with toffee, cocoa. The end of cider, coastal, light salty.
Palate: Balanced body. Slight salty intense plenty of sweetness with vanilla flavour. Orange, melon, mint are conspicuous with fresh fruit complexity.
Tasting: We suggest drinking Kavalan Solist Manzanilla Sherry Cask neat. It is also perfect with ice cream or desserts.
