Lagavulin and Offerman are proud to release the limited edition Lagavulin Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Offerman Edition Aged 11 Years. This new Single Malt, the product of an authentic collaboration between Nick Offerman and Lagavulin distillery manager Colin Gordon, is an ode to the mutual respect and adoration the two share.

This limited-edition whisky carries the signature Lagavulin peatiness but brings extra spices and notes of dried fruit to carry the smoke. Matured in refill and rejuvenated casks the whisky doesn’t hang about, hitting you with a full-on tingle from the split second it hits your lips, and pronounced fresh berry character combined with spiciness thanks to those rejuvenated casks. Elevated top-notes provide a more direct flavour journey than other Lagavulin expressions, and it all winds down with a peaty, smoky finish that lingers like a smouldering campfire at Ron’s log cabin.

"I have travelled the world and sampled many attempts at pleasing nectars, but it is solely this distillation of Islay; a tiny, charismatic Scottish isle, that has claimed my palate. Yea, and my heart into the bargain." — Nick Offerman

Tasting Notes:

Colour: Gold.

Nose: Peppery, green apples followed with stewed berries, aromatic spices, burnt ember characters.

Palate: Woody, peaty notes lead from the front, gently tingling the tongue, before fading to reveal sweet berry and orchard fruit notes. The Lagavulin distillery character is evident, where aromatic peat is present with every sip

Finish: A few moments after the liquid has gone, that peaty aroma is still there, giving this Lagavulin a wonderfully warm finish.

"Aromas of smoked meats greet you on the nose along with sweet malt and vanilla notes. On the palate, the whisky is moderately rich with peat smoke swirling around. Overall, mostly a savory offering with just the right amount of bittersweet and earthy flavors keep it interesting. A solid offering from Lagavulin. Serve neat. Pairing with bacon-wrapped shrimp not required, but Ron Swanson would approve. " - Stephanie Moreno, Distiller
