WHAT can be returned?
SkullandBarrel handles returns and processes refunds in accordance with the Australian Consumer Protection legislation.
If you have a valid reason for return, like not as described or you have doubts on the authenticity of the bottle please notify us within 1 day of receiving your purchase. If we approve your return, we will process a refund upon timely receipt of the goods purchased. Unopened goods will be refunded in full. Refunds will be processed promptly and will be made by the same method that you made the payment. All refunds are made at the discretion of SkullAndBarrel
WHEN do items need to be returned?
10 days after the return is approved. We will provide a return label for you. Please make sure the goods are packed properly, if damage occurs in transit because of poor packaging, the refund might be less than your purchase price.
Macallan Rare Cask Black - Limited Edition Single Malt Whisky The Macallan was one of the first distillers in Scotland to be legally licensed. Since then, Macallan has built a reputation as one of the world’s leading single malt whiskies. The creation of The Macallan draws on the vital contributing influences of Spain, North America and Scotland - and of their respective natural raw materials, combined with traditional methods and craftsmanship. The Macallan distillery was founded by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and school teacher. The original name of the area was “Maghellan”, taken from the Gaelic word “magh”, meaning fertile ground and “Ellan”, from the Monk St.Fillan - who held a close association with the church that stood in the grounds of The Macallan Estate until 1400. Farmers had been making whisky on their Speyside farms in the area for centuries, using their surplus barley during the quieter winter months. The Macallan Rare Cask Black Limited Edition was released to celebrate the opening of the new Macallan Distillery. It is part of the Macallan 1824 series and features stunning photography by Paolo Pellegrin and a bespoke flask from the Distillery Visitor Centre. This release is quite unlike any other Macallan, with a surprising but subtle smoky character. This distinctive flavour delivers a full-bodied richness of the spirit from the sherried seasoned European and American oak casks with the added intensity provided by a timeless thread of peat smoke. Less than 100 casks matured at the Macallan distillery have contributed to the creation of this exceptional whisky. The release was a limited edition of 7000 sets. Nose: Intense peat opens to reveal dried fruits, nutmeg, ginger and polished oak. Dates, figs and raisins are heavy but sweet. Taste: A dry smokiness yields to softer oak tones. Finish: Long and fruity with an elegant wood smoke.
