Producer Background

Marco Lubiana, the talented winemaker behind this exquisite Pinot Noir, utilizes grapes from the esteemed Stefano Lubiana Granton Estate. The 2023 vintage marks the first use of fruit from the Close Planted Vineyard, a testament to Marco's commitment to innovation and quality. Despite the challenges posed by the cooler, wetter conditions of the La Niña year, Marco's expertise ensured a successful harvest and a wine that stands out in complexity and drinkability.

Flavour Profile

The Marco Lubiana Pinot Noir 2023 is characterized by its vibrant, fresh fruit flavors and smooth tannins. This vintage offers an intense yet approachable profile with notes of red berries and a subtle hint of earthiness. The lower whole bunch fermentation (30%) contributes to its smooth, less tannic structure, making it incredibly drinkable right from the release.

Food Pairings

This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes. Enjoy it alongside roasted duck, mushroom risotto, or a selection of aged cheeses. Its fruit-forward nature and balanced acidity also complement lighter fare such as grilled salmon or a fresh, herbed chicken salad.
