The BLACKENED x Wes Henderson is the second release in BLACKENED Whiskey’s Masters of Whiskey Series, which was created in partnership with Master Distiller & Blender, Rob Dietrich, and recently retired Angel’s Envy Co-Founder, Wes Henderson. This limited edition expression is crafted from a 6 year-old Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey and finished in white Port wine casks, bottled at cask strength, and non-chill filtered.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Pear, raisin, cinnamon & cigar box.
Palate: Pear, honey, chipotle cinnamon, vanilla, barn hay & walnut.
Finish: Beautiful, long viscous finish.

It could from the base bourbon, the finish, and/or blasting Metallica music to create a nonstop mosh pit in the barrels. The white port, as unfamiliar as I am with it, feels well integrated and controlled.
