WHAT can be returned?
SkullandBarrel handles returns and processes refunds in accordance with the Australian Consumer Protection legislation.
If you have a valid reason for return, like not as described or you have doubts on the authenticity of the bottle please notify us within 1 day of receiving your purchase. If we approve your return, we will process a refund upon timely receipt of the goods purchased. Unopened goods will be refunded in full. Refunds will be processed promptly and will be made by the same method that you made the payment. All refunds are made at the discretion of SkullAndBarrel
WHEN do items need to be returned?
10 days after the return is approved. We will provide a return label for you. Please make sure the goods are packed properly, if damage occurs in transit because of poor packaging, the refund might be less than your purchase price.
Nikka Yoichi Single Malt Whisky Japan Nikka was founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, a former Suntory employee who had studied at the University of Glasgow, and later trained as a blender at the now lost Hazelburn distillery in Campbeltown. Taketsuru opened the Yoichi distillery in the same year as establishing the company, followed by the Nishinomaya and Miyagikyo distilleries in 1959 and 1969, respectively. Since 1989 the company has also had a stake in the Scotch whisky industry after they purchased the struggling Ben Nevis distillery. Today they are one of the second largest whisky producer in Japan. Yoichi malts are described as bold and strong with refined peaty notes and smokiness brought by the traditional direct coal-fired distillation. Sea breeze from the Ishikari Bay delivers a briny hint to the whisky during maturation. This no-age-statement version was released in 2016 as a permanent product that truly captures the authentic style of Yoichi malts, when all age-statements were discontinued. Vatting various different malt whiskies together, this bottling expresses a delicate balance between peaty, smoky and fruity aromas. Nose: Gentle notes of white flowers, vanilla, white apples and milk chocolate. Taste: Bittersweet with a hint of sourness and notes of flowers, apples, Earl Grey tea and green grass. Finish: Medium and quite dry with notes of bitter apple peel, grapefruit and some hints of honey.
