Alcohol Policy

Buyers must be at least 18 years old and located outside a designated dry zone to purchase alcohol.

Old Forester's longstanding mashbill is 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malted barley. But the mashbill chosen for 1924 is 79% corn, 11% rye and 10% malted barley. It also was fermented with a unique yeast strain.

The Whiskey Row Series’ 1924 10 – Year – Old is a limited annual release celebrating another milestone in Old Forester’s storied history.

During Prohibition, more than 200 distilleries were forced to close. Old Forester, however, continued operations because the federal government issued us one of six medicinal licenses, P-3. In 1924, Old Forester acquired barrels from closed distillers, with different mash bills, and bottled that liquid as Old Forester. This release commemorates that moment in time.

Tasting Notes:

Aroma: Soft notes of fudge, cocoa, marzipan, and cured tobacco layered over hints of rich oak and warm cinnamon.

Taste: Chocolate covered graham cracker dusted with cinnamon.

Finish: Hints of spice and graham cracker crumbles.

"What an absolutely fantastic dram from start to finish. I was thinking this would be good before I had it, but I didn’t think it would be this good. The similarities between 1924 and King of Kentucky were instantly recognizable to me." - Mike, The Bourbon Culture (90 Points)

"The Whiskey Row Series is back in the spotlight thanks to 1924, debuting a new mashbill and a 10 year age statement, but despite a satisfying sip, its price will be a point of contention." - Eric Hasman, Breaking Bourbon
