Rosé Sauvage by Piper-Heidsieck is made from grapes typical of Champagne, where Pinot Noir from Les Riceys makes up at least half of the blend. To these is added an unusually high percentage, equal to 10-20%, of reserve wines to give this bubbles its unmistakable personality.
In the glass it shines with a beautiful bright ruby red, a sign of strength and elegance. On the nose, consistent aromas of blackberry and black currant stand out, with well-balanced touches of mandarin and saffron. The entrance is incisive, while in the center mouth juicy berries are surrounded by spicy and slightly smoky notes such as to make this bubble an authentic "mischievous delight".
It is ideal to serve with duck with orange or with other red meat dishes.
