Alcohol Policy

Buyers must be at least 18 years old and located outside a designated dry zone to purchase alcohol.

Introduced in 2022, this is one of three core whiskies in the Royal Brackla portfolio. Malt Master Stephanie Macleod finished each of the three expressions in a sherry cask from Bodegas Jose y Miguel Martin in Jerez, Spain.

For this 18 Year, Palo Cortado sherry casks were used. Also notable is the new portfolio is bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or added caramel coloring.

Enticing and complex

Rich spices, creamy vanilla, big, succulent soft fruits and cocoa powder, brightened with a zing of citrus.

"There's a more spiced and toasted oak aroma on the nose than the more fruit-forward 12 year version. The taste reflects these aromas with the whisky offering up a lightly tannic, bittersweet profile. The finish shows just a touch of dark honey on the finish. The mid-palate opens up a bit on further tastings so allow the dram to breathe a bit after pouring. The fruit aromas found are more dark/dried and less fresh and bright. More of a studious expression than its younger counterpart." - Stephanie Moreno, Distiller
