Travel Retail Exclusive

Batch 006 is a blended malt whisky featuring more than twenty one single malts drawn from the five whisky regions of Scotland. This has been finished for three years in first fill hogsheads which have previously held a ten year old Pedro Ximenez sherry.

The small batch programme allows Royal Salute’s Master blender, Sandy Hyslop to release rare and exclusive cask finished whiskies which are part of his distillers reserve inventory. Sandy has meticulously attended to these rare casks and waited for the perfect moment when the casks have imparted the desired essence to these exquisite blends.

These sophisticated blends are presented in a distinctive flagon glazed in a striking purple hue, a colour that has been associated with Royalty for centuries.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Initial aromas of rich plums, milk chocolate raisins and toffee apples give way to vanilla fudge, heather honey and subtle nutmeg spice.

Palate: Baked apples, spiced poached pears and chocolate ice cream on a backdrop of star anise, clove and cinnamon spice.

Finish: Long, dry and slightly spicy.

"This felt like a complex old blend, with lovely dusty fruit, and balanced wood spice. Really enjoyable." - Whisky Mag (90 Points)
