A distinctive global travel exclusive Collection, the Colour Collection is a range of exceptional whiskies that celebrates two of the pillars upon which our legacy is built: Natural Colour and Sherry Seasoning.
The Colour Collection begins in our vineyards in Jerez de la Frontera, where our sherry journey begins. We celebrate the vibrant culture, community and craftsmanship behind the creation of sherry wine. It is this sherry that seasons each of our exceptional oak casks that, in turn, imparts aroma, flavour and natural colour to each of our whiskies.
The Macallan Colour Collection celebrates our commitment to Natural Colour, spanning the spectrum of natural colour imbued through years of maturation in exceptional sherry seasoned oak casks, from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain.
The colour deepens with each age expression in the Colour Collection, from the pale oak of the 12 Years Old to the burnished chestnut of the 21 Years Old. The casks have been carefully selected to celebrate the spectrum of Natural Colour.
The whisky gains its vibrant colours from its contact with oak wood, while the sherry wine seasoning contributes to its signature quality, aroma and depth. This relationship with the wood and sherry seasoned casks is expressed in the liquid, the age profile, the packaging and in the collaboration work with visionary Graphic Designer Artist, David Carson.
