European Oak delivers a bold and deep rounded character, providing a rich dark fruitiness, toffee and warming tannins on the palate, with a smooth malty sweetness. With sweet oak notes that come from our sherry seasoned American oak casks, this whisky is exquisitely rounded off with a whisp of smoke delivered from hand selected casks to reflect the innovative addition of cherrywood smoke to the tea leaves that inspires this single malt.
Steeped in tradition and rich in storytelling, the synergies between The Macallan and JING Tea are celebrated in a ritual that unites heritage and artistry, celebrating tea culture, whilst using the vehicle of the ceremonial tea pet to tell The Macallan’s story.
The peacock, a symbol of natural colour and one of our Six Pillars celebrates the wonderful range of colour in our whiskies naturally derived by years of interaction with our sherry seasoned exceptional oak casks.

Tasting Notes:
Colour: Patinated cherrywood.
Aroma: Rich toffee and dates with warming spice, bursts of ripe berries and charred citrus peel, all enveloped with an aromatic charred oak smoke.
Palate: Creamy toffee and rich citrus with vibrant oak spices, sweet and malty follow with a whisp of smoke to finish.
Finish: Creamy and sweet aromatic oak.
