The Elusive Batch 3 is the latest release in the series. Given the situation over at Nant before its collapse, records are hard to find but we do have it on good authority that the contributing casks are all over 10 years old.
It has been bottled at 48% ABV, is composed mainly of Port cask whisky giving it a rich sweetness, and also some Sherry cask to add complexity and spice.
The tale of Remnant is one of chaos and heroics. Born out of the ashes of a barrel investment scheme gone horribly wrong, Remnant is some of the best tasting and oldest Tasmanian single malt whiskies that almost didn't exist.
The 'Elusive' is a series of releases made from the best and oldest casks still available. Each is extremely limited in quantity, showcases a different style, and features an highly recognised Aussie icon, the Platypus.
