The Remnant Elusive series will feature the best of the best of the Nant stock held by Remnant Whisky Co. Batch 1 is a minimum of 6 years old (but the best guess is it's about 10 years old).
Given the situation over at Nant, records are hard to find but we do have it on good authority this is possibly the oldest whisky to ever be released from this Tasmanian distillery. Bottled at 58.04% ABV, it was matured in an Australian Apera 100L, it's a sensational drop, complex flavours, and great value for a 700mL bottle.
Tasting Notes:
Aromas of toffee, toasted marshmellow and caramelized fig. A velvety palate highlighting the Australian fortified wine flavours of fresh ripe peach and sweet zesty freshness that comes with an older whisky of this calibre. The American oak brings a super-long finish of vanilla bean, caramel and gentle spices. Very easy to drink.
