We ship with Australia Post using their dedicated wine post service. All parcels are trackable and in most cases arrive in 2-3 days for east coast metro areas.
All orders will need to be signed for by someone over the age of 18 and can not be left unattended.
If no one is home your order will be sent to the nearest post office for collection.

Our Notes
A “Bordeaux-style” blend, but with plenty of Yarra terroir shining through it’s as much cork hat as it is beret.
Foresty vegetable notes, freshly dried parsley, wild berries and plenty of luxurious rum-and-raisin chocolate notes. The firm structure, with super-crisp acidity balancing insistent tannin, is perfect for the style.
From The Winemaker
The fruit for this wine comes from our high density vineyard planted with Bordeaux varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec.
The block has 7353 vines per hectare. Row width is 1.6m. Vines are spaced 80cm apart. The cordon wire is 50cm above the ground. We planted the block in this way to really allow the site and soil to be truly expressed in the wine. Planted in 2011 and 2012 the vines are coming into the beginning of their prime and showing an intensity of flavour and fine tannins. Each year the proportion of varieties in the blend is different but always from the same block and high density, low yielding vines.
All fruit was hand picked, sorted, destemmed and fermented in small batches for 3 weeks with only an occasional pump over. Aged in older French barriques and hogsheads for 9 months.
About the Winery
Thousand Candles exclusively use fruit from their estate, a picturesque and dramatically hilly plot in the Yarra Valley. The focus is on terroir, with some early release lacking varietal labelling entirely so as to leave the Candles team free to choose whichever grapes best expressed the soils and microclimates of the site.
