Muscat

Macquariedale call this Liquid Christmas Cake, a fortified muscat liqueur. Muscat grapes are harvested at high sugar levels and fermented for a short period with the addition of grape spirit to raise the alcohol level. This liqueur is soft and delicious and as the name suggests has the flavour of grandma's Christmas cake. It goes well with desserts or as an after dinner digestive.
