Kosher Wines

Buy Kosher wines from Australian wine regions including the Hunter Valley & Margaret River and imported wines from Israel, Italy, France and South America. Kosher wines are certified under a kosher certifying agency. Kosher wineries worldwide must comply and meet strict kashrut standards set by the authorising agencies. Kosher wine cannot contain non-kosher ingredients such as gelatine used for finning or matured in barrels used for maturing non-kosher wine.

Kosher wine is either mevushal meaning that it has been pasteurised or non-mevushal, non pasteurised. Pasteurisation can denature the wine and hence not agree to some wine aficionados. Kosher wine from Israel must meet other aspects that can affect its status such as shiviit and orlah.
