Referred to as the 'Baby Baccarat', the Double XO is a blend of Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey finished in heavily toasted & in XO Cognac casks.
This distinctive whiskey is a fusion of two Woodford Reserve bourbons, each aged in fresh charred oak barrels. The first bourbon matures for an impressive 17 years, while the second undergoes a 7-year aging process before being transferred to heavily toasted new oak barrels for additional maturation.
The dual aging in the heavily toasted barrels bestows the whiskey with a sumptuously intricate flavor profile. Its alluring bouquet reveals delightful notes of vanilla, caramel, and toffee, harmonized with subtle hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate indulges in a full-bodied and opulent experience, showcasing flavors of dark chocolate, dried fruit, and a gentle smokiness. The finish lingers gloriously, offering sweetness and a touch of spice that envelop the senses.
Tasting Notes:
Appearance: Golden Amber.
Aroma: Rich and elegant sweet aromatic notes top a medley of complex dried, cognac and citrus fruit.
Taste: Smooth and creamy with a balance of rich fruit, sweet aromatics (vanilla, marzipan, caramel) and French oak.
