The Cielo family’s story in wine began in 1908, when founder Giovanni Cielo acquired an estate in a small town in the heart of Veneto, nestled between Vicenza and Verona. Set against the foothills of the Little Dolomites and overlooking the legendary Castles of Romeo and Juliet, the property was sustained by a natural spring well — a vital resource that shaped the family’s early livelihood.
Initially, Giovanni diversified across cattle breeding and silkworm cultivation, alongside small-scale winemaking for family and friends. Over time, that modest production evolved into what is now Cielo e Terra — a respected Veneto producer rooted in tradition, place and generational expertise.
