Returns
We have a strict 14-day return policy. We will not accept the return of any items 14 days after the day of purchase. Items being returned must also be unused, in the original packaging, and in the same condition as the item was when received by you. You are responsible for paying the shipping costs of any returned product. Where refunds are provided, we will deduct the cost of return shipping from the refund.
We may, at our sole discretion, offer a partial refund if the item you return is not in its original condition, damaged, or not complete, in any way. However, we may provide a full refund if the change in condition or damage is a result of our error – strictly at our own discretion. We will also consider refunds if the delivery of your order was delayed due to our error.
Refunds and Late or Missing Refunds
You will receive an email notification from us when we have received and assessed the condition of your returned item. All approved refunds will be processed via the original method of order and make take a number of days to be applied. If you have not yet received your approved refund, please first contact your financial institution in the first instance. Please note that processing times may vary from bank to bank.
This 2021 Glenkinchie Distillers Edition was finished in Amontillado sherry casks after first being aged in re-charred American oak casks.
The secondary cask influence adds richer notes of nuts and spice to the characteristically light, fruity single malt.
The 2021 Glenkinchie The Distillers Edition is finished in Amontillado Sherry casks. Amontillado Sherry is seen as one of the most complex sherries because it is aged both under flor and without flor.
Flor is a film that develops due to yeast and creates a protective barrier for the aging process. As the sherry gets to a certain age and alcohol by volume the yeast dies off allowing the process of oxidation to take over and continue aging without the flor.
Some sherry producers will force this by adding distillate to the sherry to kill the flor at a specified time. This complexity is an interesting foil to Glenkinchie’s normally light style.
I get notes of marzipan, caramel, honey, lemon, toast, and tropical fruit.
The finish has a slight floral quality with a good amount of spice and a touch of sulfur to it.
