Bourbon

Bourbon is a spirit that has been distilled in the US since the 18th century. It is made from at least 51% corn, with the remainder coming from either wheat or rye. However, over time whiskey distilleries in Ireland and Scotland have begun to produce their own versions of bourbon as well. Though there are many types of bourbon whiskies out there. Some say that the best way to enjoy this amber-brown liquor is with a little water to cut down on the alcohol content. Often, Bourbon is best paired with fruit juice, sweetened tea mixes, or iced tea.

A blend of 3-4 year old straight rye and straight bourbon mashed, fermented, distilled and aged at the Cedar Ridge Distillery. In addition to Iowa corn, this small batch gets some extra spice from its rye content. Nose: It begins quite floral, with hints of honeysuckle and lily. Then, corn and caramel hit.
