Barceló Imperial Maple Cask, part of the exceptional Rare Blends Collection of Barceló rums, is born from the nectar of the finest selection of Dominican sugar cane, grown in our own cane fields. The result of aging the reserves of our most precious rums in oak barrels with different degrees of toast, carefully selected by our expert master coopers.
Once the blend is achieved, Maple Cask is left to rest in authentic maple wood to provide the complexity and unique flavor that distinguishes this fascinating spirit.
Tasting Notes:
Dark amber-brown color with reddish tones. In the glass it exhibits an unctuous body with long, thick legs. Fruity and floral aromas on the nose, accompanied by pleasant notes of melted caramel, plums, vanilla and maple syrup. Initially sweet on the palate, then wood and dried fruit flavors emerge with a long but silky finish.

Overripe, creamy, baked, attractive, tropical aromas of peanut butter and banana, coconut cream, coconut flakes, pineapple skins and mixed nuts, and dusty with a creamy, moderately sweet light-to-medium body and a warming, medium-length banana cream, coconut cream, brown sugar, maple cream, oyster shell, oatmeal raisin cookie, sea water, and baking spices finish.
