The best expression of Syrah from the site is sourced from our HOG and Rams Horn blocks. Hand-picked and fermented in 5t and 1.5t open fermenters with 40% Whole Bunches included. Matured in French Oak for 10 Months, 35% new.
Deep purple and ruby colour with bright clarity. The nose has vibrant blackberry fruits with violet perfume and pepper spice layers. Juicy blackberry fruits on the palate join in with fresh acidity and a supporting background of mocha. A complex and layered wine with great fruit intensity, concentration and balance that can be enjoyed now or cellared with confidence for the next 10+ years. Bottled December 2022
